ÖZET
Bu çal›flmada piyasada çocuklar için bulunan resimli kitaplar hakk›nda ebeveynlerin bilgilerinin ve görüfllerinin incelenmesi
amaçlanm›flt›r. Veri toplama sürecinde mülakat ve anketler kullan›lm›flt›r. Daha sonra 20 ebeveyn ile yap›lan mülakat ve anketler
kodlanarak analiz edilmifl ve (a) ebeveynlerin resimli çocuk kitaplar› hakk›ndaki bilgisi, (b) ebeveynlerin resimli kitaplar hakk›ndaki
farkl› görüflleri, (c) e¤itimcilerin ebeveynleri resimli kitaplarla ilgili nas›l bilgilendirilmesi gerekti¤i belirlenerek tart›fl›lm›fl ve
anlamland›r›lm›flt›r. Alt kategorileri tan›mlanm›fl ve yaz›msal veri olarak gösterilmifltir. E¤itim uygulamalar› ve araflt›rmalar› için
sonuçlar ç›kar›l›p öneriler verilmifltir.
ABSTRACT
This study investigated parents’ knowledge and opinions about the picture books that are on the market for the
children. Interviews and surveys were used. Then, surveys and interviews done with 20 parents were coded and analyzed, discussed,
and implications were made by describing (a) parents’ knowledge about the picture books, (b) different views of parents regarding
picture books, (c) how educators should inform parents about picture books. Subcategories of each component were identified and
are illustrated by narrative data. Conclusions recommendations for education research and practice are addressed.
