Bu
çalışmada
gündelik
sıkıntılar,
sosyal
destek
ve
cinsiyet
değişkenlerinin
8-11.
sınıf
öğrencilerinin
akademik
başa-
rılarını
ne
derecede
yordadığı
incelenmiştir.
Araştırmaya
564
(%
58.6)
kız,
398
(%
41.4)
erkek
olmak
üzere
toplam
962
öğ-
renci
alınmıştır.
Veri
toplama
araçları
olarak,
Gündelik
Sıkıntılar
Ölçeği
(GSÖ),
Algılanan
Sosyal
Destek
Ölçeği
(ASDÖ-R)
ile
araştırmacı
tarafından
geliştirilmiş
olan
Öğrenci
Kişisel
Bilgi
Formu
kullanılmıştır.
Veriler,
Adımsal
Regresyon
tekniği
ile
analiz
edilmiştir.
Araştırmanın
bulgularına
göre,
aile,
geniş
çevre,
öğretim
yaşamı
ile
ilgili
sıkıntılar
ve
cinsiyet
ile
aile,
arka-
daş
desteği
değişkenleri
akademik
başanyı
manidar
olarak
yordamaktadır.
Öğrencilerin
öğretmenlerinden
algıladıklan
destek
ile
arkadaş
sıkıntısı
değişkenleri
ise
akademik
başannın
önemli
bir
yordayıcısı
olarak
bulunmamıştır.
Bulgular
literatür
ışığın-
da
tartışılmış
ve
önerilerde
bulunulmuştur.
ABSTRACT

present
study,
the
prediction
capacity
of
daily
hassles,
social
support,
and
gender
variables
on
academic
achievement
of
8th-
i
Ith
grades
students
were
examined.
The
sample
of
the
study
included
totally
962
(564
female,
398
ma-
le)
students.
Daily
Hassles
Scale
(DHS),
and
Perceived
Social
Support
Scale
(PSSS-R)
were
administred
in
order
to
gather
the
data
in
this
study.
The
data
were
analyzed
by
Stepwise
Regression
technique.
Major
findings
of
this
study
were,
daily
hassles
with
family,
daily
hassles
with
environment,
daily
hassles
with
academic
life;
and
family
support,
peer
support,
and
gender
predicted
academic
achievement
of
8th-
i
1
th
grades
students
significantly.
Teacher
support
and
daily
hassles
with
peer
did
not
predict
academic
achievement
significantly.
The
findings
were
discussed
in
the
light
of
related
literature,
and
suggestion
we-
re
made
