ÖZET
Eğitim seviyeleri, yaş yapısı ve mensubu olunan mesleğe göre insanların algılayış biçimlerinde ciddi farklılıklar gözlenebilmektedir. Kişilerin algılarındaki bu farklılık zihin haritalarıyla mekansal kavramada yansımaktadır. Mekan algısı ve mekanın bir düzenleniş biçimi olan kentlerin zihin haritalarıyla algılanması da bu konunun en karakteristik örneklerindendir. KKTC’nin önemli merkezlerinden biri olan Gazimağusa şehrinin ana caddesi de bu kapsamda değerlendirmeye tabi tutulmuştur. Yapılan anket çalışması ve zihin haritaları ile kentsel mekanın kullanımıyla ilgili önemli çıkarımlara ulaşılmıştır. Bu kapsamda farklı kesimlerden insan gruplarının kentsel mekan algılayışından hareketle sosyo-ekonomik yapısı hakkında fikir edinilmeye çalışılmıştır.
ABSTRACT
According to the level of education, age structure and profession, serious differences could be observed in perception styles of humans. This difference in the perception of people reflects to spatial term with mind maps. Space percept and the perception of cities with mind maps, which is the organization style of space are the most characteristic examples of this topic. The main street of Famagusta which is one of the substantial centrals of TRNC has been evaluated in this context. With the questionnaire study and mind maps that carried out it is reached to an important inference about the use of urban space. In this context it is aimed to have an idea about the socio-economic structure of people from different parts of society by their comprehension about urban space.
