Modelling the Web-Based Content Management System of Pre-Service Teachers Oriented at Laboratory Implementations Considering Quality Standards

ÖZET
Bu çalışmada, yükseköğretim bilgi eko-sisteminde öğretmen adaylarının laboratuvar uygulamalarına destek verebilecek şekilde karmaşık ve farklı formattaki öğrenme nesnelerinin kalite ölçütlerine göre koordinasyonunu sağlayabilecek web-tabanlı içerik yönetim sisteminin geliştirmesi amaçlanmıştır. Öğretmen adaylarının laboratuvar derslerine destek olmasına yönelik web-tabanlı içerik yönetim sisteminin geliştirilme süreci, pedagojik kalite, içerik kalitesi ve teknolojik kalite ölçütleri temelinde modellendirilmiştir. Yaratıcı problem çözme modeliyle desenlenen araştırmada kurgulanan geliştirme süreci; problemi tanımlama, yaratıcı fikir, çözüm üretme, karar verme-en iyi fikri/çözümü seçme, tasarım-çözüm geliştirme, uygulama - değerlendirme ve yeniden tasarlama - düzeltme olmak üzere 6 aşamadan oluşmaktadır. Eğitim fakültesinde, belirli bir disiplin alanının gereksinimlerine göre yapılandırılan e-sistem yetenekleri diğer disiplinlerin ihtiyacına göre yeniden yapılandırılabilecek şekilde kurgulanmıştır. Yaratıcı problem çözme modeliyle kurgulanan sarmal şekilde yapılandırılan geliştirme süreci sonunda web-tabanlı içerik yönetim sistemi geliştirilmiş ve öğretmen adaylarına uygulanmıştır. Web-tabanlı içerik yönetim sistemi, İçerik Yönetim Sistemi Kalite Rubriği (İYSKR) ve öğrenci görüşme formu ile değerlendirilmiştir. Durum çalışması ile geliştirilen web-tabanlı-içerik yönetim sisteminin kalitesine yönelik öğrenci algı düzeyleri ve yansımalara dayalı olarak yapılan yeniden düzenlemelerle modelleme süreci tamamlanmıştır. Web-tabanlı içerik yönetim sisteminin geliştirilmesi ile öğretmen adaylarının laboratuvar çalışmalarını yürütebilecekleri e-sistem geliştirme çalışmalarına katkı sağlamasına yönelik kapsamlı bir modeli sunuyor olması nedeniyle alan yazındaki ilgili araştırmalara katkı sağlayabileceği düşünülmektedir.

ABSTRACT
This study aims at developing web-based content management systems enabling coordination with regards to the quality criteria of complex and differently formed teaching materials which can support pre-service teachers’ laboratory implementations in terms of higher education information economy system. The process to develop web-based content management system which will support the laboratory courses of pre-service teachers has been modelled considering the criteria of pedagogical quality, content quality and technological quality. Developing process built in the research designed with creative problem solution model consists of 6 phases which are defining the problem, creative idea, constructing solution, decision making-picking the best idea/solution, design-developing solution, implementation-assessment and redesigning-revision. The e-system skills constructed with regards to the requirements of a specific discipline are built in such a way that can be re-structured considering the needs of other disciplines in education faculties. In the end of the spirally structured development process built through problem solving model, web-based content management system was developed and implemented on pre-service teachers. Web-based content management system has been assessed through Content Management System Quality Rubric (CMSQR) and student interview form. Modelling process has been completed after the readjustments based on the students’ perception levels and reflections about the quality of the web-based content management system developed through a case study. This study, developing web-based content management system, is considered to contribute to the literature as it presents a comprehensive model aiming at putting up to the researches about developing an e-system where pre-service teaches can conduct their laboratory studies.
