A STATISTICAL APPROACH FOR IDENTIFYING THE REQUIREMENTS OF PUBLIC PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS BASED ON DISTRICTS IN TURKEY

ÖZET
Bu çalışma, 25 eğitim göstergesi birlikte kullanılarak ilçe bazında hem ilköğretim hem de ortaöğretim düzeyinde Türkiye’nin eğitim olanaklarını ortaya çıkarmış ve ilçelerin eğitim olanaklarına göre gelişmişlik düzeylerini belirlemiştir. Bu analiz doğrultusunda, Türkiye’nin her bölgesinde eğitim olanaklarının belli bir standarda getirilebilmesi amacıyla Türkiye ortalamasına göre her ilçe için öğretmen, derslik, laboratuar, bilgisayar ve kütüphane ihtiyaçları hesaplanmıştır.

ABSTRACT
This study reveals educational opportunities and determines the level of the districts in Turkey according to their educational opportunities using 25 education indicators based on primary and secondary schools of the districts. By this analysis, the deficiencies in the numbers of teachers, classrooms, laboratories, computers, and libraries have been computed with respect to the average of Turkey for each district in order to standardize the educational opportunities in all parts of Turkey.
