öğrenciler
tarafından
nasıl

gılandığını
belirlemektedir.
Görünüş
geçerliliğinin
yanında
yapılan
Faktör
analizi
sonucunda
yapı
geçerliliği
konusun-
da
bulgular
elde
edilmiştir.
Faktörlenebilirlik
incelemesin-
den
sonra,
58
maddelik
empatik
sınıf
atmosferine
ilişkin
öl-
çeğin
43
maddelik
4
faktör
çözümlemesi
içerisinde
açıkla-
nabilirliği
belirlenmiştir.
Empatik
Anlama,
Olumlu
Kabul,
Öznel
Algılama,
ve
İçtenlik
olarak
yorumlanan
ve
adlandı-
rılan
faktörler
toplam
varyansın
%54.13'ünü
açıkladığı
be-
lirlemiştir.
Testin
güvenirliği
maddeler
arası
iç
tutarlılık
yöntemiyle
belirlenmiş
ve
Cronbach
a
değerleri
genel
ve
alt
testler
için
.69
ile
.91
arasında
değiştiği
bulunmuştur.
ESOTÖ
olarak
kısaltılan
bu
testin
algılanan
empatik
sınıf
atmosferi
tutumlarını
geçerli
ve
güvenilir
olarak
ölçebile-
ceği
konusunda
sonuçlar
elde
edilmiştir.
ABSTRACT
The
purpose
of
the
study
is
to
develop
an
instrument
to
measure
intraclassroom
empathic
attitudes
of
teachers.

high
school
students
were
recruited
for
the
studyand
the
students'
perceptions
ofteachers'
emphatic
at-
titudes
were
surveyed.
After
some
work
on
face
validity,
the
emphasis
was
given
to
construct
validity
with
Factor
Analysis.
Af
ter
the
completion
of
the
investigation
of
fac-
toriability,
the
initial
variability
resulted
in
four
factor
solu-
tion
with
total
items
of
43.
These
factors
were
interpreted
as
Emphatic
Understandig,
Positive
Regard,
Subjeetive
Perceiving,
and
Authencity
explaining
the
total
variance
of
54.13.
Cronbach
Alpha
values
(a)
were
computed
for
total
and
subscores
ranging
between
.69
and
.91.
Abbreviated
as
IEAS,
the
scale
was
found
to
be
appropriate
for
valid
and
reliable
measures
of
perceived
intraclassroom
emphatic
at-
titudes
of
teachers.
