ÖZET
Yabanc› dil, toplumlararas› iletiflimin gerçeklefltirilmesi için edinilmesi gereken önemli becerilerden biridir. Yabanc› dilde
kurulan gerek sözlü gerekse yaz›l› iletiflim, bireyin geliflmifl sözcük da¤arc›¤› çerçevesinde gerçekleflir. Bu nedenle, yabanc› dil ö¤retiminde
dilsel birimleri oluflturan sözcüklerin sistematik olarak edinilmesi ve gelifltirilmesi konusu önceliklidir ve bu nedenle
ö¤retimde kullan›lan malzemeler önem tafl›maktad›r. Söz konusu malzemelerden yabanc› dil ders kitaplar› gelifltirilirken, derste
ifllenecek konular›n, dilbilgisi alanlar›n›n yan› s›ra sunulacak sözcük say›s› ve çeflitlili¤i, da¤›l›m›, kullan›m›, sözcük ö¤retimine
iliflkin al›flt›rma tipleri, ö¤renme stratejilerinin de dikkate al›nmas› ve ders kitab›na yans›t›lmas› gereklidir. Bu çal›flmada, ilkö¤retim
6., 7., 8. ve ortaö¤retim 9. s›n›flar›n yabanc› dil olarak Almanca derslerinde okutulan Lern mit uns 1, 2, 3 ve 4 adl› yerel nitelikteki
ders kitaplar›nda sunulan sözcük da¤arc›¤›n›n yeterlili¤i ve ö¤retime katk›s› de¤erlendirilmifltir. Araflt›rma sonuçlar›n›n, ülkemizde
yaz›lan Almanca ders kitaplar›n›n haz›rlanmas› s›ras›nda dikkate al›nmas› ve gelifltirilen model çerçevesinde haz›rlanacak yard›mc›
malzemenin kullan›lmas› durumunda, Almanca ö¤retiminde verimlili¤e katk›da bulunaca¤› düflünülmektedir.
ABSTRACT
Foreign language learning is of importance to be realized for intersocietal communication. Both oral as well as written
communication are actualized within the limits of the individual’s vocabulary. Hence, a systematic acquisition of vocabulary
items, or words that make up the linguistic units, must be prioritized as a topic and, thus, materials used in teaching has utmost importance.
While developing foreign language course books out of these materials, many aspects including the number, variety, distribution,
and usage of words, exercise types related to vocabulary teaching, and learning strategies, in addition to the subjects and grammar
fields at large. In this study, the proficiency and contribution of the vocabulary presented in the regional course book titled Lern
mit uns 1, 2, 3, 4 used at 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grade German language courses is evaluated. It is thought that the results of this study
will contribute to effective German language teaching in our country as long as they are taken into consideration throughout the
designing process of German course books and if only the supplementary material developed for the purposes of such an evolving
model.
