ÖZET
Bu çal›flmada, ö¤rencilerin entalpi ve kendili¤inden gerçekleflme ile ilgili olarak yap›lm›fl olan araflt›rmalardan baz›lar›n›n özetlenmesine çal›fl›lm›flt›r. Bu çal›flma bu alanda yap›lan araflt›rmalar›n önemli bulgular›n›, tespit edilen yanl›fl anlamalar› ve bunlar› n muhtemel sebeplerini bir arada ele alm›fl ve irdelemifltir. Bu sebeple, bu çal›flman›n fen e¤itimindeki araflt›rmac›lara, e¤iticilere ve kimya ö¤retmenlerine yararl› olabilece¤i düflünülmektedir.

ABSTRACT
This study is intended to review some of the selected researches carried out on students’ understandings of enthalpy and spontaneity. The review puts together the important findings of the researches, summarises the misunderstanings identified so far and the possible sources of these misunderstandings. Therefore, this study would be beneficial for the researchers and lecturers in science education area and chemistry teachers.
