PERCEPTION TIME OF DECIMAL NUMBERS REPRESENTED DIFFERENT SHAPES

ÖZET
Bu çalışmada, bir grup ondalık sayının, tablo ve grafılde temsil edilmesi durumunda, aynı anda grupta kaç tane ondalık sayı olduğu ve bu ondalık sayılardan en büyü- ğünün algılanma süreleri arasında bir fark olup olmadığı araştınlmıştır. Farklı yaşlardaki iki grup öğrenciye bilgisayar deneyleri uygulanmıştır. Deneyler sonucu, ondalık sayıların grafılde temsil edilmesi durumunda, aynı anda kaç tane sayı olduğu ve bu sayılardan en büyüğünün daha kısa sürede algılandığını göstermektedir. Bu farklılıktan dolayı, ondalık sayılarda grafık kullanımı önem kazanmaktadır.

ABSTRACT
in this work, we investigated whether there is a significant difference in perception time of the numbers of the decimal number and the largest of them when they are represented in graphical form and tabular form. The computer experiments performed on two groups of students in different ages. The experiment results show that perception time of the numbers of the decimal numbers and their largest values are shorter at representation of them in graphical form. As a result, it is important to represent the decimal numbers in the graphical form.
