A RESEARCH ON DEVELOPING STUDENT TEACHERS’ PLANNING ABILITIES OF STUDENT - CENTERED TEACHING

ÖZET
Bu araflt›rman›n amac›, ö¤renci merkezli ö¤retim konusunda e¤itim alan ile almayan ö¤retmen adaylar›n›n ö¤renci merkezli ö¤retimi planlama becerilerindeki eriflileri aras›nda anlaml› bir fark olup olmad›¤›n› incelemektir. Araflt›rmaya Gazi Üniversitesi, Mesleki E¤itim Fakültesi, Çocuk Geliflimi ve Okulöncesi E¤itimi Ö¤retmenli¤i Bölümünden 15 ö¤retmen aday› deney grubunda ve 14 ö¤retmen aday› kontrol grubunda kat›lm›flt›r. Bu çal›flmada hem nicel (survey ve denk olmayan kontrol gruplu ön-test son-test deseni) hem de nitel (görüflme) teknikler uygulamaya konulmufltur. Nicel veriler kovaryans analizi, nitel veriler ise içerik analizi yap›- larak çözümlenmifltir. Araflt›rman›n bulgular›, ö¤renci merkezli planlamadaki eriflilerde deney grubunun lehine anlaml› farklar oldu- ¤unu ortaya koymufltur.


ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to find out whether there are significant differences among student teachers’, who are educated about student-centered teaching and student teachers’ who are not educated about this topic, achievement on their studentcentered planning abilities. 15 student teachers in experimental group and 14 student teachers in control group from Gazi University, Vocational Educational Faculty, The Department of Child Development and Preschool Education Teaching participated in this study. In th›s study both quantitative (survey and the pre-test post-test with not equal control group design) and qualitative (interview) techniques were administered. Quantitative data were analysed by administering ancova and qualitative data were analysed by administering content analyse technique. The findings of the study indicated that there were significant differences in favor of the experimental group in their achievement on student-centered planning.
